Automated Parking Now Available at Upscale Idora Apartments in Oakland, CA

The Idora Apartments, located at 5239 Claremont Ave. in Oakland, CA, offers beautifully-crafted, modern apartment homes in the prime location of Oakland’s hills. This community was created to offer both private homes and a sense of community within the Temescal area. Floor plans range from one to two bedrooms, with all of the necessary modern conveniences and amenities—washers and dryers, private balconies, walk-in closets, convenient location with access to shopping and restaurants, community lounge with wi-fi access, and much more. In collaboration with CityLift, among the amenities available is an automated parking garage for tenants. For these apartment homes, CityLift’s parking solution was a 3-Level Puzzle structure with a pit design.

“The puzzle design is one of our most popular choices, and with good reasons; it can accommodate multiple levels, both above grade and subterranean, in its configurations and not lose any car retrieval time. This type of structure is particularly suited to residences such as the Idora Apartments, as well as urban garages where space is limited, but the need is greatest,” says Scott Gable, CEO of CityLift.

“In this case, we were able to maximize space and create 42 parking spaces for the Idora residents. In the end, the result was 180% space maximization; without our automated lift solution, they only had the room for 15 standard, surface parking spots, so our structure gave them an additional 27 spaces. Now, not only do the Idora residents have the benefit of parking on site, they have the added efficiency of modern parking automation on their list of apartment amenities.”

Installation of this parking structure began in July of 2016 and was completed in October of the same year. CityLift is proud of its collaboration with the Idora Apartments.
